"In the world of design, every project starts as a spark — an idea that holds the potential to transform spaces and lives.
At Red Land Design, I’m driven by the belief that true architecture and interior design blends imagination with intention. Each line, color, and material choice contributes to a story greater than itself.
As Project Manager, I take pride in guiding teams and clients through that creative journey — ensuring that passion meets precision, and every detail aligns with purpose."
— Liew Keatson | Project Manager, Red Land Design
The Architecture
The rear of the house is the main architecture gem. The beautiful building facade with small garden facing Menglembu and Ipoh view is where the owner's family and guest would spend most of the time during evening for a chill session.
The wet kitchen at the back was fully demolished. In the meantime, the master bedroom on the first floor including its balcony has been modified and extended from original structure.
The Interior
Stepping in from the rear is the spacious living room where the we incorporate the existing house column with decor display section.
We always design and customize wall panel in a unique way. In the living area, back panel behind the sofa (where we sourced from Foshan, China) has been integrated with artistic element into it to match with the loose furniture color.
Color Play
Keatson Liew, as one of Chris Lau mentees in Red Land Design has his creative inspiration. From the exterior to interior including the kitchen are best conveyed, which is a haven of standout designs from him and the brand.
To one corner stands a full height cabinet with internal lights display with curved door set in olive green, showcasing a masterful reimagination of color play.
The subway tiles as backsplash were installed with herringbone pattern is also part of the kitchen design uniqueness.
Filled with coral color palette, Keatson narrates a story that transcends boundaries of modern interior design and Red Land culture—a characteristic that remains central to the brand. There is a palpable synergy between the unique personality and historic charm of the house. Keatson taste and design sensibilities, as much of the home resonates with his own experiences. “What I really loved was the fun and sweet color applies for the house interior, delighted the client has the same direction as mine."
Same neutral color were applied in the wet kitchen; functional yet filled with vibrancy and practicality at the same time.
