

Red Land Design transformed an old heritage building in Ipoh includes a reincarnated frontage; while preserving British Indian elements on its facade, Cleven and Edmund, both team mates in charge of the project had envelops the space with brown as main theme to contrast with colorful interior. They also integrate a challenging technical infrastructure within the contours of the shop, one of them are create a spiral staircase built in the middle of the shop lot as focal point of the interior.

Without affecting the existing old building structure, our renovator team dismantle the old solid wood floor board and add additional column conceal within the section to strengthen the form. The special made spiral staircase also featuring hidden lights along the handler which works like a piece of art.

The space maintains a visual connection between the heritage vibrant commercial street and the quiet canal at the back, reinforcing a dual relationship with Ipoh old town. Our interior design team use as the right ceiling lighting to enhance the perception of the boutique fashion line up, the premium materials contrast with the interior space.

Display elements were applied in traditional Indian symmetrical where these patterns forms a beauty of the heritage tradition. A conventional seater platform enhance the folklore atmosphere, creating a moment of comfort within the environment.

The old building had been transformed with passion and vision created for the client's brand; Vilvaz where the place named as Palace of Kanchipuram Sarees and Lehanga. It was the first premium traditional Indian boutique in Ipoh.
